Governance and Leadership
The Board of Trustees
Per the Corporation bylaws, the Board of Trustees are tasked with “the ultimate responsibility for the business, property, management, control, and perpetual success of Holy Cross High School.” Trustees are the stewards of the institution, providing high-level, executive oversight over the Council of Directors and President, as outlined below. Trustees are instrumental in providing for the financial stability of the school through personal support and through inviting others to support the school at a leadership-level of giving. Trustees named prior to the opening of the school in the Fall of 2025 are designated as Legacy Trustees, granting them life-long status as a Trustee so long as they choose to continue in this role.
Current Trustees: Mr. Brian Lessard, Mr. Joseph Andrews, Esq., Dr. Wayne Thomas, Mrs. Erin Barrett, Dr. Richard Quinn, Mrs. Jennifer Pinkerton, Mr. Bill Strickland, Mr. Lincoln Willis, Esq., Mr. Frank Daniels, Very Reverend James Lentini.
The Council of Directors
Operational oversight of the school is the responsibility of the Council of Directors. Directors, nominated and approved by the Board of Trustees, are organized into functional committees in key areas: Finance, Building and Property, Advancement, Admissions and Marketing, Mission and Identity, Legal Affairs, and Curriculum. An Executive Committee provides organizational leadership. As professional staff members of the school are hired, they will serve as the key liaison to the Council in their respective areas of expertise. Committees will also include non-Director members to increase effectiveness and to develop future Directors.
The School President
The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the school, with primary responsibility for the general management and business affairs of the school. Specific areas of responsibility include: Finance, Building and Property, Advancement, and Admissions and Marketing. The President is accountable to the Board of Trustees and serves as an ex officio member of the Council of Directors.
The School Principal
The Principal serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the school, with primary responsibility for the programmatic areas of school operation. Specific areas of responsibility include: Academics, Athletics, Extracurricular Activities, and School Discipline. The Principal is accountable to the President and to the Council of Directors. The Principal serves as an ex officio member of the Council of Directors.
